The Little Green Pantry has grown from a pop up stall on Wellington Market back in 2019 to a Multi Award Winning shop on Crown Street Wellington, and has recently celebrated its 1st Birthday on the High Street.
Selling plastic free refills of dried food, baking ingredients, cleaning liquids and much more, the business is going from strength to strength, building a loyal following on eco-minded customers who want to do their bit for the planet. Together The Little Green Pantry and its customers have diverted over 22,000 pieces of plastic from landfill in its first year by refilling and purchasing their household toiletries and kitchen goods in recyclable paper or cardboard packaging.
So far this year the business has also been recognised by its customers and Telford & Wrekin Council as a High Street Hero 2022 and has won the award for Business Champion for Social Responsibility at Telford’s Community Pride Awards 2022. The business along with its sister company Little Green Party Kits have also been recognised as Plastic Free Champions by Surfers Against Sewage.
Keli, Business Owner says “Me and my team are so pleased we have reached this milestone and achieved so much in our first year on the High Street. We are excited to see how the business grows over the next 12 months and aim to divert twice as much plastic from landfill next year. Looking back at how the business started 3 years ago and how I managed to keep things going through Covid Lockdowns makes me very proud and I am so thankful that my customers have been so loyal to me from the start.”
