Solicitors at a leading Shropshire law firm are celebrating top honours in the 2023 Legal 500 rankings.
Three of FBC Manby Bowdler’s Shropshire-based lawyers received high individual commendations, and two of the specialist teams were ranked in the top tier of legal firms.
Sarah Baugh, from the Shrewsbury office, and Anne Thomson, from the Telford office, were named leading individuals, while Shrewsbury-based Suzanne Tucker was named as a rising star for her work with the planning team.
Sarah’s agriculture and estates team and Anne’s family law team were both also rated in the top tier.
The Legal 500 uses a comprehensive research programme to assess the strengths of law firms in more than 150 jurisdictions.
FBC Manby Bowdler’s managing director Neil Lloyd said: “These Legal 500 rankings are a real feather in the cap for our teams, who have continued to provide a fabulous service to our clients throughout the past year.
“I’m very proud of all our teams that have been recognised by the guide this year and know they will continue to go above and beyond to offer the very best service possible.
“FBC Manby Bowdler has long been a feature of the Shropshire law scene and these rankings are further assurance to our clients that they can rely on our dedicated teams to provide the top-rate service they have come to expect.”
Tom Devey in the agricultural and rural services team, and Philip Cowell, Sarah Millington, Claire Darley and Elizabeth Harris-Clark in the family team were also named as key lawyers in the Legal 500 guide.
Reviewing the agriculture team, the guide cited: “Tom Devey and Sarah Baugh stand out on the agricultural front. Their knowledge of the owners and occupiers of farms and estates across the region is exceptional. Their approach is pragmatic, but with bold advice, sagely cautioned against the risks and costs.”
Anne Thomson also received glowing praise: “Anne Thomson is an exceptional lady, nothing is too much trouble, her advice is spot on and always feels like she is giving you 110 per cent.”
