TELFORD BUSINESSES LAND FUNDING BOOST

funding boost

A pair of Telford businesses have secured funding through the Business Growth Programme.

Plastics recycling firm Samplas Ltd has received an £88,000 grant to purchase items of machinery, including a granulator, a bailer and a forklift truck.

Meanwhile, Premier Garden Supplies has landed £98,500 from the same funding pot, which it has also used to acquire machinery and equipment.

Telford & Wrekin Council’s business support team, Enterprise Telford, has worked a range of companies across the borough since April 2019 to help them access a series of grants and funding streams.

Councillor Lee Carter, Cabinet member for neighbourhood services, regeneration and the high street, said: “Our Enterprise Telford team continues to support local businesses, helping them access additional funding which can help them to grow and increase productivity.

“It’s fantastic to see how Samplas Ltd and Premier Garden Supplies have both used the funding to excellent effect and it is helping them to expand and increase their output.

“During the cost of living crisis and these challenging times, we are pleased that we can help local businesses access additional financial support which can be invaluable to them.”

The Business Growth Programme is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and supports SMEs in the Marches Local Enterprise Partnership.
