Digital marketing and web design agency Ascendancy is transforming the way businesses work through the creation of innovative mobile apps for clients across Telford and Wrekin.
The use of apps by businesses is set to increase dramatically this year with gross revenue on app stores predicted to hit nearly £220bn, and Newport-based Ascendancy is now working with businesses on app creation.
Chris and Christina Morledge, who live in Nottingham, acquired Ascendancy following the successful acquisition of Copper Bay Digital based in Swansea in 2020. Copper Bay brings an additional ability to build bespoke business solutions and mobile apps, creating a wider offering for clients across Shropshire.
A recent app creation was completed for The Social Work Way after its founder identified a gap in the market for a comprehensive digital tool to support social workers in managing their day-to-day responsibilities while ensuring the best possible outcomes for their clients.
They required an app that could enhance efficiency, provide access to key resources, and simplify administrative tasks such as referrals, all while maintaining a high level of data security.
Mr Morledge said: “Copper Bay Digital designed and developed the mobile app with a range of tools aimed at empowering social workers and improving their daily workflows, with a number of key features.
“They include a streamlined, intuitive referral system that simplifies the management and tracking of cases, Opportunity Connect: A platform where training providers, resource creators, and service suppliers can connect directly with social workers and local authorities, and Community Connect: Which simplifies the process of finding relevant local organisations.
“The app also provides a comprehensive library of resources and worksheets, a job directory, an articles and guides hub for social workers to access information focused on wellbeing, legislative updates, theoretical frameworks, and training logs – features that not only meet the immediate needs of the users but also provide a flexible, scalable solution capable of adapting to future demands.”
Interest in bespoke apps for businesses continues to grow with app store revenue expected to reach around £220bn this year. In addition, demand for internal communication and employee apps is also rising, with many businesses using them to stay in touch with employees.
“The availability of these innovative bespoke apps is being helped by the advances in 5G technology – which is offering significantly improved capabilities like high-precision positioning, enhanced mobility, and better support for time-critical applications,” adds Chris.
“This is enabling a wider range of business and consumer-facing apps allowing real-time interactions, business process simplification and staff engagement tools, to increase business sales and improve performance.
“Copper Bay has a proven track record of success in app development, and we are excited to bring this expertise to businesses in Shropshire. Through Ascendancy, we look forward to delivering innovative app solutions that drive growth and success for organisations across the county.”
