Local company NOURISH Holistic Wellbeing Ltd successfully launched their new workshop ‘Workplace Mental Health and Holistic Wellbeing for Leaders and Senior Managers’ last week. The inaugural workshop, designed and delivered by Colleen Mullarkey, Director of NOURISH Holistic Wellbeing, was attended by 8 business from around the county.

“A great course delivered by Colleen, an important aspect often overlooked in the workplace and happy to know more in preventing and dealing with said issues”, “very enlightening”, “interactive way of giving information and using science and facts to explain holistic practices”, “Lovely presenter who refreshingly uses her own relatable experiences to deliver the course content” and “thought-provoking” were just some of the comments from delegates.

“All the research and evidence shows that future sustainable growth and performance can be positively enhanced by investing in a strategic and preventative approach to workplace mental health and wellbeing. However there is so much information out there it can be confusing, overwhelming and time-consuming for businesses to distill what they actually need from it all” Colleen added.

“Shropshire is my home county and I’m really passionate about supporting local businesses and their people to be successful. Having achieved great outcomes partnering my 1:1 clients, I wanted to develop something that would help organisations en masse. This workshop focuses on the key essentials that underpin holistic health and wellbeing. It enlightens leaders and senior managers on the root causes of common issues such as anxiety, overwhelm, presenteeism and stress, and enables them to decide the next steps for their own workplace” said Colleen.

“National research shows a year-on-year rise in reported mental health issues and stress levels, at a cost of around £45 billion to the economy, I wanted to support the reduction of this at a local level. I would like to thank the delegates from Azets, Blue Orchid Recruitment, Elite Hampers, Fresh Tech, L. Tranter & Son, Meeting Point House, Shropshire Chamber of Commerce, Stanton Ralph & Co and Wrekin Drain Services who joined me for the first of many of these workshops” she concluded.
