Shropshire’s leading accident repair centre, Autocraft Telford are celebrating a new positive recommendation from BSI.

The BS10125:2022 is the latest British Standard for vehicle body repair and paintwork. It provides a framework for safe and effective repair of damaged vehicles, ensuring that they are returned to their preaccident condition in terms of both appearance and function. The standard covers all aspects of the repair process, from initial assessment and estimation to final inspection and quality control.

Achieving the BS10125:2022 recommendation is no small feat. It requires a bodyshop to demonstrate that it has the necessary skills, equipment, and processes in place to carry out repairs to the highest standard. The process involves a rigorous assessment of the bodyshop’s facilities, staff training, and quality management system, as well as a review of its repair procedures and documentation.

Autocraft Telford has been working towards the new standard for some time, and the recent surveillance visit by Matt Jones from BSI was the culmination of this effort. With the help and assistance of their consultant partner Phil Travis, the team at Autocraft Telford was able to demonstrate their compliance with the BS10125:2022 requirements, earning them a positive recommendation from BSI.

The fact that Autocraft Telford achieved this recommendation within four days of the standard’s approval is a testament to their commitment to quality and their determination to be at the forefront of the industry. It is also a tribute to the expertise and professionalism of their staff, who have worked tirelessly to meet the stringent requirements of the new standard.

Overall, Autocraft Telford’s achievement is a milestone for the UK body repair industry. It sets a new standard for excellence and professionalism, and serves as a model for other bodyshops to follow.
