A Telford-based manufacturer of products used by the healthcare industry across the globe has launched a major new education platform designed to support sterile services, endoscopy and decontamination professionals in their day-to-day roles.
Serchem, based at Hortonwood in Telford, has unveiled its new Hub following an 18-month development programme and significant investment by the company.
The platform has been created to provide practical learning and support for healthcare professionals using Serchem products, helping staff carry out their work safely, efficiently and with greater confidence in demanding clinical environments.
The modules, which provide users with a total of 8.5 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) learning, have been co-created by Serchem’s consultant chemist, internal technical specialists and experienced healthcare professionals from a number of the company’s long-standing customers.
The Hub has been specifically designed around the real operational challenges faced within sterile services departments, endoscopy units and wider decontamination environments.
The platform has already undergone extensive user testing involving 95 participants across healthcare environments, helping Serchem refine both the structure and practical usability of the modules before launch.
Free membership to the Hub will be available to Serchem distributors and UK end users purchasing Serchem products, ensuring customers can access ongoing educational support alongside the company’s specialist chemistry and technical expertise.
The Hub modules include: An Overview of Decontamination; Chemistry in Decontamination; Water in Decontamination and Best Practice in Decontamination.
Alison Arnold, Commercial Director at Serchem, said the launch reflected the company’s long-term commitment to supporting healthcare teams beyond simply supplying products.

“Having more than 100 users involved in testing the platform gave us valuable insight into how healthcare professionals interact with the training and what would support them most effectively in their day-to-day roles.”
The training modules are designed to support both individual learning and wider departmental development, helping strengthen understanding around decontamination processes, chemistry application, compliance and safe working practices.
